There are 2 pedestrian ways to reach Tirumala
Hi Friend, In this blog i am going to tell you the pedestrian ways to reach Tirumala. I will put my best to provide you the clear information.

As i said there are 2 pedestrian ways for the people who want to reach Tirumala by foot.

1. Alipiri footpath way 2. Srivari Mettu

Firstly we go through the Alipiri pedestrian way. Here i would like to share few important things. Earlier there was no limit of pedestrian pilgrims to avail "Divya Darshan" which is only for the people by foot path, but recently Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has come up with a new scheme of allowing only 14,000 people per day to avail "Divya Darshan". This 14,000 count will start from night 12AM, which means first come first go. The remaining people has to go through "Sarva Darshan".

Now before starting your journey, you can deposit your luggage, bags in the counter near Alipiri pedestrian way. No valuables(wallet, gold items, money or mobile phones) to be kept in the luggage or bags and the luggage to be locked while depositing in counter. Post which you will receive a receipt, keep it safe post reaching Tirumala you should return the receipt to get your luggage.

Points to keep in mind while going through pedestrian way.
-
Climb the steps with bare foot
-
Do not take any eatables from strangers who might accidentally meet in this journey

When you start going through the steps, you will cross 6 Gopuram’s. After you cross the first Gopuram near Alipiri, you will go through the security scan done by TTD Police, here is where you will get the “Divya Darshan” token. Post collecting the same you can continue the journey by enjoying each and every moment which will be thrilling.

On the way you will see “Sri Venkateswara Namalu” and “Slokha” which was written on the side pillars. The ticket which you will get has to be confirmed for the darshan timings for which you have to climb 2084 steps, by this time you will be near Galigopuram which will be seen from Tirupati.

After reaching Galigopuram, in the right side you can go in the queue line and confirm the darshan timing. Post which you can relax in the nearby shops and have Tiffin items or snacks. Then your journey now you will not find too much of steps for some distance or you will not feel like climbing steps. On the way you will find deer park on your left side. Please keep away the plastic or paper items near to this place.

While continuing the journey you will reach Big Hanuman Statue, take blessings and continue your journey, you will reach a check point where you have to take the “seal” on the “Divya Darshan token”, later you will reach “Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Temple” and then starts the road journey. Here is an interesting thing happens, if you reach this road by 6AM, chances of feeling the Ooty or Manali kind of fog covering the mountains and floating on road. It is awesome feel, one should experience it in a life time. This road path leads to “Mokalla Parvatham” which is the last “Gopuram” you have to cross. Finally you will be in Tirumala, the holy sacred place. Heaven of earth. There in the right side you can collect your luggage.
